We’ve Got Fitness All Wrong

We’ve got fitness all wrong. Fitness isn’t just about physical activity and getting a six-pack. My mission far transcends weight lifting and weight loss. My life’s journey is to help families all over the world create lasting change, to stop starting over.

In the current state, the fitness industry is grossly failing us. Despite there being fitness on every corner, we are more overweight than ever. Over 70% of our country is overweight, 33% are clinically obese, and nearly 20% of children are suffering and only 17% of people have a gym membership. There is clearly a problem with the strategies we are currently deploying. The “I-Gen” is the first generation to have a shorter life expectancy than their parents. This disturbing fact fuels my desire to give every ounce of me to creating lasting change one family at a time.

There must be a societal paradigm shift. We’ll never create lasting change if we repeatedly attempt the same strategies. We seem to be obsessed with the newest diet plan, the latest workout fad, and the most innovative technology. This type of thinking is like putting band-aids over bullet holes, it will never stop the bleeding.

Everyone cognitively understands that’s eating well and exercising often is what we need to do. The problem is, we don’t want to do it. Google “how to be healthy” and 410 million results pop-up, we aren’t missing the strategy. We are lacking purpose. We are missing an enchanting reason to look beyond today, tomorrow, next year and create an internal resolve that creates certainty that we can run through any and all walls or obstacles in the way.

Fitness is more than working out. It’s an integration of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual fitness that stand on a foundation of strong psychological principles. When you find a purpose greater than “looking good” you’ll never have to “start over” again.
